Intercept Handling

Description

Intercept Handling lets the system control what happens to a call when the call cannot be completed to the required destination. A call may be routed to a tone or to a directory number. Two alternate destinations may be programmed for each condition.

NOTE: When a intercept condition is encountered, the system applies the intercept treatment configured for the call originator, not the call destination.

  1. Complete the Intercept Handling form.

  2. Enter an Intercept Number for each station and trunk in the following forms:

NOTE: A default of 1 is automatically assigned; in instance 1 of the form, all intercepts go to a reorder tone by default.
